Velocity Software

Overview

Hirsch Velocity Security Management System software for access control and security operations. Seamless integration of door control, alarm monitoring, credential enrolment, photo badging, video, dynamic graphics, database management and tutorials yields an easy to use and easy to install system suitable for a single door or multi door enterprise.

Hirsch DIGI*TRAC controllers support secure ScramblePads, MATCH™ intelligent reader interfaces, high security alarm monitoring, and control relay outputs. Every controller is modular, expandable and upgradeable. Expansion boards add alarm circuits, relay outputs, 128 bit AES (Rijndael) communications, and memory for more users, events and alarms.

Every DIGI*TRAC controller uses identical firmware so premium features and functions present no hidden costs. If later versions offer new features, firmware is replaced without replacing the controller or wiring.

In order to maximize reliability, Hirsch incorporates standby batteries for both memory and system operation, an internal international power supply, socketed 10A door control relays, fused power and keypad/reader terminals, a heavy duty NEMA-style enclosure, a high security lock and a tamper alarm. Hardwired, or TCP/IP, DIGI*TRAC controllers provide a proven enterprise-wide security management solution.

Description

Velocity 3.1 for Microsoft® Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista operating systems. Windows 2000/Vista/ XPPro are used for the Single User and Client Workstations. Windows 2000/2003 Server are used for the Server.

Velocity 3.1R2 for Microsoft® Windows 2008 R2 server.

Velocity uses Microsoft’s SQL Server database, and can reside on a local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN).

The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is user configurable by the Operator and returns at log-on to the screen layout left at log-off. Many modules and components can be docked (top, bottom, left or right), or floated to another monitor in a multiple monitor configuration.
